Scaling Up!!

Scaling up in aerial robotics is no easy task—not only in terms of algorithms, hardware, and software, but also in logistics, operations, and mission control.

Today, we successfully flew a squad of fixed-wing drones for the very first time, coordinating them in a fully distributed manner to maintain a 3D square formation. All computation was performed onboard, relying exclusively on relative situational awareness, without centralized coordination.

This flight marks an important step in our group toward scalable multi-agent aerial systems capable of operating cooperatively in complex environments.
